Show Your Colours. Run for City!

This year, the Blue Run involves staying local to your own home. You can still run (or walk or jog) with members of your family. And you can still dress up in blue, dye your hair blue, paint your face blue, or wear your city kit. You just can’t come to the ground.

You can choose your distance of 2, 5 or 10K – this time its up to you!

Your registration fee of £10 includes an event t-shirt, medal and training support.

Our ‘Mini Blues’ package for fans under 14 years old includes an entry to win a bundle of Manchester City prizes.

Every penny raised will go towards CITC’s new Cityzens Giving for Recovery project, which harnesses the power of football to support mental wellbeing in people aged 14-25. The programme forms part of the wide-ranging ‘Cityzens Giving for Recovery’ initiative, which aims to make a positive difference in response to the COVID-19 pandemic via targeted projects near each of City Football Group’s ten clubs.

Since June, City Football Group has matched donations pound for pound from kind-hearted City fans and partners, so far raising more than £580,000 for recovery projects around the world. In Manchester, the long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children’s mental health was highlighted as a major concern amongst carers and parents.

So, for this year’s Blue Run, City Football Group will match your donations pound-for-pound*, helping us to extend our recovery project into 2022, when many people will still be feeling the impacts of the coronavirus on their mental health.

*to a limit of £500,000 across all projects – see FAQs for more info.
