Student Wellbeing

At Marple Sixth Form College we take the personal development and wellbeing of all our students very seriously and we are here to support them throughout the duration of their studies.

This ranges from their personal safety and security whilst on campus to broadening their horizons through field-trips, work placements and other extra-curricular activities, and ensuring that we are meeting their personal and academic needs through high quality careers and training advice.

We also have a Wellbeing team which includes learning mentors who can give advice and guidance on any personal issues including housing; finance and funding; welfare; childcare; general and sexual health; low mood and anxiety; and mental health. In addition, the team works closely with Services For Young People and a trained guidance officer is available to provide further progression and support.

Our next open events are on:

  • Saturday 12 October 2019 10.00am – 12 noon

Marple Sixth Form College is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our students. Personal Safety is important when you take part in any learning.

At the moment, the issue of terrorism is regularly in the news but the College has worked with key stakeholders for some time in order to ensure that our students and staff are safe within College. We take the protection of our staff and students very seriously and work closely with the Police, and other external Government agencies.
