The Personal Progress Tutor will provide regular opportunities to review a student’s attendance, progress, broaden their knowledge and understanding of a wide range of issues and receive guidance on their future career or HE plans.
The Personal Progress Tutor is part of a wider, specialist team which works together to offer students regular and high levels of support and provide a reference either for university or employment.
There is a three way partnership between the college, the student and parents through regular and planned contact with home. Consultation evenings and progress reviews help to monitor learning and, if attendance is at all problematic, the college will contact home in an effort to help.

Marple Sixth Form College is part of The C & M College Network, a partnership between two respected and well established sixth form colleges that has served the Stockport area for over fifty years.
For the last ten years we have operated as a combined institution, Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College, but from September 2014 both The Cheadle College and Marple Sixth Form College will become more independent.
But as part of the new C&M College Network both colleges will share a board of governors and joint senior management team and both institutions will continue to learn from each other, share best practice and benefit from economies of scale in their operation.
