This is an innovative and timely programme designed to meet the needs of students who may be disappointed with their GCSE results, may not wish to do a full Level 2 course at this stage, but who still wish to progress to a Level 3 course in the future, including A level.
Marple Sixth Form’s Career Academy is designed to boost both the academic and career prospects of its students and anyone who is a committed, motivated self-starter - and is studying Business at Level 3 (AS Level or a vocational option) - can apply for a place.
Our CHOICES courses are national qualifications which aim to help students with learning difficulties and disabilities improve and develop their independent life skills and prepare for work. Students will also develop their social and personal skills working within a supportive and discreet environment, while also being part of the wider college community.
Marple Sixth Form College is part of The C & M College Network, a partnership between two respected and well established sixth form colleges that has served the Stockport area for over fifty years.
For the last ten years we have operated as a combined institution, Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College, but from September 2014 both The Cheadle College and Marple Sixth Form College will become more independent.
But as part of the new C&M College Network both colleges will share a board of governors and joint senior management team and both institutions will continue to learn from each other, share best practice and benefit from economies of scale in their operation.
