Jenny Singleton Principal & CEO at The C&M College Network said “I am delighted Lucy’s success she is an inspiration to all students who want to progress in their personaland skills development”.

Speaking after the award Lucy said:

“When a started the Career Ready Programme two years ago I was extremely shy and couldn’t do anything out of my comfort zone. I didn’t have any idea what I wanted to do for my career and I lacked ambition and confidence. I never thought that I would get this far and it’s the greatest and proudest achievement that I’ve had – I’ll remember it forever.”

”This proves that all my efforts in pushing myself to give presentations have led me to be more confident. I now know that you should always strive to go above and beyond what you feel your limits are, and that you should never stop believing in yourself. My internship at RBS gave me the skills, knowledge and confidence to apply for a competitive degree apprenticeship. The whole experience made me much more ambitious. My confidence, my mental ‘limits’ and my presentation skills have improved a lot. Now I strive for big opportunities in my career.”

”Without Career Ready at The Cheadle and Marple College Network I just wouldn’t be in the position I am today – I wouldn’t know what direction to go in after college, or have had the opportunities I’ve had on the programme.”
